Your stake in winning a prize
Just because we've removed all risk doesn't mean there isn't money involved.
The time has come to make a commitment, throw your penny in the wishing well.
We priced the raffle tickets at 15 euros for each property - ten properties, ten drawings - for a total of 150 euros.
But of course we give you that ticket free.
And we made the odds 10 chances to win in 33,333.
That's 500 to 2,500 times better than the best lottery odds.
We figured 150 euros -- £100 -- $200 -- was an amount people almost anybody can find.
That's the amount we'll take off your bill when you visit us.

Thank you, George, for the opportunity to be able to say something nice about your great
idea. This is me standing on the terrace of one of the prizes last summer.
It's really as wonderful a place as you describe and we are visiting again before they are raffled.

A place to take a break for a nap after thinking about all those numbers.
When will the raffle take place?
Hand on heart, I don't know yet, though I think it will be sooner rather than later. We are being advised by people who have run a dozen or so "Million Dollar House" raffles, and they say that these projects usually take a year (and remember, we've already lost valuable time because of the US Congress).
On the other hand, they say, if the project gets a PR boost it can sell out in a hurry. You must know that in our currently celeb obsessed society, if Paris Hilton or Tiger Woods or some other big name were to buy a voucher and mention it to the press, we'd be sold out by next Thursday. In point of fact, we already have several heavyweight names aboard, but can't use them because they invested as private citizens, not as celebrities. And in one case, a fan bought one for the object of her affections, which was touching, but regrettably not helpful to us.
Our advisors also tell us that these things start slowly and accelerate (which is what we're seeing) and that the second half of the voucher tickets will sell out four times faster than the first half.
We keep all our voucherholders advised with regular newsletter updates. In a sense, because these are hotel vouchers first and raffle tickets second, the date of the raffle is much less significant.
That's the most honest comment I can make to address that obvious and sensible question. At least for right now. I look forward to naming a date.
"It's like buying a raffle ticket but being able to get your money
back after the raffle is over."
