What's in it for us ...

We understand that some people may think this is "too good to be true" - effectively ten free tickets to win valuable properties with no strings, no taxes, no costs, just the keys and a deed to a lifetime holiday, or lifetime rental income, or a substantial lump sum.

So let's just take a look at what's in it for us when we sell a reservations voucher.

What we get is actually pretty simple:

• We get lots of people lined up outside our doors waiting to get in to stay with us.
  
• We say goodbye to fat advertising and promotional costs.
• We raise our occupancy rate, increase our income.
  
• We get a chance to sell you meals at our new restaurant on the corner, or drinks in our bar, rent you a car.

Best of all for us, once you are with us you'll spend more than just the amount on your vouchers.

Is that a "catch"? Not really. But because we have a 3 night minimum stay in the hotels our guests will probably spend four times the amount on the voucher. Taking the voucher value off your bill doesn't cost us any more than paying a commission to an agent.

Not only that, but we've lured you across our threshold, got you tucked under our wing, and 44% of the people who stay with us once come back for another visit, send friends or family, get addicted to the "Scott's experience".

How it works, in detail ...

First, you invest in one or more of our numbered hotel vouchers, good to participate in our raffle of ten luxury holiday properties. When you visit one of our hotels we give you back the money you spent on the vouchers at the ratio of the price of one voucher off your bill for every three days you stay in a deluxe room or suite. That is, the value of one voucher for three days, two for six days, three for nine, etc.

If you stay in our lower priced rooms, the ratio is one for each four days.

But there's no rule that says you have to come to the hotels; maybe you live too far away or can't visit for other reasons.

In that case, invest in a reservations voucher good for use in our hotels and valid to participate in the property raffle. So whether you visit us or not, your voucher will still take part.

When the drawings are held you may win one of ten prizes worth up to 500,000 euros each. (£350,000 or $675,000)

But maybe you don't  win one of the ten grand prizes.

If you've already visited our hotels you'll have had your money back in the form of the raffle ticket we gave you as a gift when you checked out. Your participation in the drawings will have been free.

If you haven't yet visited us, you'll still have until the end of the year 2012 to use your reservations voucher, after the raffle is long over.

Or because it still has its full original value, you can sell it to someone else or give it away as a gift.

Whatever you do with it, and regardless of when the raffle takes place, your reservations voucher will keep its value for five years.
